Making over plain cotton upholstery fabric requires nothing more than a household disinfectant and water. Working outside, and wearing protective eyewear and gloves, lay the desired yardage for your project flat on a sheet of plastic. In a measuring cup, mix together ½ cup bleach and ½ cup water. Use a plastic spoon to drib-ble the liquid all over the fabric. When you're satisfied with the pattern, let dry, then run the fabric through a regular cycle in your washer and dryer. Take it to a local upholsterer (we sent ours to tapemeasure
We have a great location — Our woodworking school is located near Knoxville, Tennessee. We are very accessible (within a day’s drive of 70% of the population in the USA!) for USA woodworkers. While many of our woodworkers come from Southeastern USA locations such as Atlanta, we also have woodworkers who come from further-away places such as Texas, California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Wyoming, Minnesota, Maine — 43 states so far and counting! We’ve even had woodworkers come from other countries — as far away as Australia! Additionally, our location near the Great Smoky Mountains and Gatlingburg ensures that there is an abundance of fantastic activities for you or your family to experience as well.
It might not be the easiest project in this list, but if you already have some experience with wood cutting and joinery, it won’t be any hassle at all. Thanks to the extremely detailed instructions it shouldn’t really be a problem even if you’re not very familiar with woodworking. This could actually be a great project for refining your woodworking skills as a beginner!
These charming accessories don't require any special tools to create. We simply gathered up four key rings and strung on: a brass cow tag, a plastic toy calf, a two-inch wooden printing block, and a couple vintage skeleton keys. A key ring can loop directly through the holes of the cow tag and skeleton keys; for the calf and printing block, just center and screw in a metal eye hook with your hands, then link the key ring through (key rings, $2.17 for 25; 1" diam.; eye hooks, 59 cents for 20; ⅝"; zorotools.com). For similar fobs, head to Michaels for the calf figurine ($2.99; michaels.com for stores), and search Etsy or eBay for tags, blocks, and keys (from $3 each).
Cabinets with heavy duty hidden hinges are nearly universal, with most home improvement stores putting these useful pieces of hardware at the center of their hinge options. These invisible hinges can be used in the 10.2 million kitchens or 14.2 million bathrooms that are remodeled annually, as they work on any cabinet door. While the main benefit of concealed hinges is to create a sleek, streamlined look for your cabinetry, there are several practical benefits as well.

We are a woodworking school centered on traditional hand tool use. Our instructors are passionate about woodworking and about the preservation of the traditions of working wood by hand. Classes are small and each student is provided their own bench and set of tools. During classes students are given the opportunity to try many different tools from many different manufactures to help them make informed decisions on their future tool purchases.
